Code of Conduct
At Saudamini Institute of Nursing and Research, we believe in nurturing not only academic excellence but also a culture of integrity, discipline, and professionalism. This Code of Conduct applies to all students, faculty, and staff, and is designed to uphold the values and standards expected in a healthcare and academic environment.
1. Academic Integrity
- All students must maintain honesty in academics by avoiding plagiarism, cheating, or any form of malpractice.
- Assignments, projects, and examinations must reflect the student's own work.
- Faculty members are expected to evaluate students fairly and transparently.
2. Professional Behavior
- Students are expected to conduct themselves with dignity and respect, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Use of offensive language, disruptive behavior, or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Proper uniform and personal hygiene are mandatory for all nursing students during clinical postings and academic sessions.
3. Attendance & Punctuality
- Regular attendance in theory classes, practicals, clinical duties, and college events is mandatory.
- Late arrivals, absenteeism, or leaving early without prior approval may lead to disciplinary action.
4. Use of Campus Facilities
- Students must respect and take care of campus property, including classrooms, laboratories, hostels, and the library.
- Vandalism, littering, or misuse of institutional resources is strictly prohibited.
5. Digital Conduct
- Use of mobile phones or other electronic devices during lectures or clinicals is restricted unless permitted by faculty.
- Posting defamatory, inappropriate, or misleading content about the institute on social media is a punishable offence.
6. Substance Abuse
- Use or possession of tobacco, alcohol, or any illegal substances is strictly prohibited within the campus and hostels.
- Violators will face strict disciplinary or legal action as per institutional and state regulations.
7. Gender Sensitivity and Inclusiveness
- All individuals must be treated equally, irrespective of gender, caste, religion, or background.
- Sexual harassment, discrimination, or derogatory comments will not be tolerated and will invite disciplinary action.
8. Disciplinary Actions
Violation of any rule in the Code of Conduct may result in:
- Warning or counseling
- Suspension from classes or campus activities
- Debarment from examinations or clinical postings
- Expulsion from the institute in severe cases
9. Responsibility and Commitment
All students, faculty, and staff are expected to uphold this code and contribute to maintaining a respectful, ethical, and professional environment.
